October 7th, 2024 Update: Hurricane Milton

Due to manpower and our employees leaving or securing their homes, the Marina will close today at Noon. I know this may be an inconvenience, but the safety of our employees and family is paramount. We will also lock all gates into the Marina so no access from the North (main) parking area will be available.

October 6th, 2024 Update: Hurricane Milton

As we continue to clean up and make repairs from Hurricane Helene, Hurricane Milton decided to form and is trekking towards the west coast of Florida as I write this. Our Marina will be closing on Tuesday, October 8th at noon. As we prepare for this upcoming storm, all repairs we were scheduled to tackle have been halted so we may focus on round 2. Thank you for all your patience and understanding.

October 5th, 2024 Update: Hurricane Helene and some!

We are still cleaning up from the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. The marina sustained significant damage, and we are working hard to restore the facilities to their former condition. Unfortunately, another storm is coming, and we are monitoring the situation closely. We will provide updates as needed and ask for your patience and understanding as we work through this difficult time.

October 4th, 2024 Update: Hurricane Helene

Hope everyone is well. Due to the damage caused by Helene, our updates will be a little sporadic. We are finally getting a couple systems pieced together to check on emails (which we are addressing occasionally). At this point, we can express our sincere thanks to the many of you who have reached out in person dropping off drinks and food, or via email wishing us well. As we continue to recover from the storm, we uncover issues that delay other things we are working on. But rest assured, as many who have come by the Marina, we are all working very diligently to repair Home Port.

I won’t be able to give any hard timelines for specific things being repaired as we don’t know what will be uncovered while doing so. A few things I can give updates for are below.

October 3rd, 2024 Update: Hurricane Helene

Hope everyone is well. Due to the damage caused by Helene, our updates will be a little sporadic. At this point, we can express our sincere thanks to the many of you who have reached out in person dropping off drinks and food, or via email wishing us well. I won’t be able to give any hard timelines for specific things being repaired as we don’t know what will be uncovered while doing so. A few things I can give updates for are below.

  • The A/B dock has power to all customers and the dock boards have been repaired.
  • C-Dock damage has been repaired. Access to the lift section of the dock has been cleared. At the time of this writing, we are working on restoring the power once again to C-dock ASAP.
  • D-Dock Electric is messy, and no timeline is available for that repair.
  • Fuel dock has suffered electrical damage as well. The electric company has been out to take photos, but no timeline can be given for repair.
  • We are focusing this weekend on building remediation and will not be dropping any boats into the water.

Further updates will be coming as we all deal with the aftermath of the storm. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

September 25th, 2024, Update: Hurricane Helene

Homeport Marinas’ hurricane information via email is intended as a supplement to other available sources of hurricane information to add to your awareness, as a vessel owner, and the need to begin your hurricane preparations. The purpose of this notice is to aid slip owners and occupant awareness of the approaching storm, so they may take appropriate action.

We are currently monitoring Hurricane Helene and its track along the Gulf Coast. Please be aware that the Marina may shut down all facility operations within 1-2 days before the storm impact. At that time, Marina personnel will still be continuing to safeguard our business so that we may return to business as usual ASAP after the storm.

We will keep our customers updated as to any new developments on the property. Thank you for your continued patronage and hope everyone stays safe through this event.
